The legendary rapid football player James Anderson is to be a Knight in appreciation of his 21 -year -old professional life with England. His name appeared in the honorary list of former UK Prime Minister Rishi Sonak, according to Espncricinfo. The 42-year-old has retired from the international cricket game in 2024 after calling for 704 wickets- more than that by the English Ramy and the most by any fast Rami in history. He played 188 tests, where he ended his career in England with a final match against the West Indies in Lord in July 2024. His journey began on the same land in May 2003, when he first appeared against Zimbabwe.
Although Anderson has not played the white cricket game in England since 2015, he still holds the national record for most of the share in ODIS (269), and it has received 18 texts in T20is, as it is less than 1,000 international share.
Despite his retirement from the duty of England, Anderson did not completely deviate from the game. He recovers from a hard -leg injury and plans to play the local cricket game for Lancashire this summer, such as Alastair Cook, who continued to play with Essex after receiving his knight in 2019.
“Congratulations to Mr. Jimmy Anderson. This is a truly deserved honor for the legend of England that gave a lot to our sports,” said Richard Tomson, president of the European Central Bank.
