The controversy was settled between the Hyderabad Association of Cricket (HCA) and Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) about free passes for the IPL matches after a short confrontation. The conflict attracted attention when allegations appeared that the HCA president threatened the SRH administration regarding the customization of tickets.
After the orders of the Prime Minister of Tilanga Rivanth Reddy, vigilance officials launched an investigation. A team of 12 officials led by the SP rank in the UpPal stadium arrived at 10 am to conduct searches. Check the stadium capacity, review the agreements between SRH and HCA, and investigate the ticket distribution patterns.
When vigilance officials contacted, HCA President Jagan Mohan Rao contacted the allegations, reporting that he would be available to interrogation tomorrow. With the escalation of controversy, representatives of HCA and SRH held a special meeting to resolve the case. After discussions with the administration, SRH representatives announced that they will continue to provide 10 % of the tickets to HCA according to their original agreement.
Rapid intervention by the Tilangana authorities helped to settle what could have been developing into a greater conflict between the Cricket Management Authority and the iPL.
