In a season full of great hopes and great challenges, Rahul Drafid, the coach of the Rujistan Royal team (RR), publicly expressed his disappointment in the wake of the team’s last defeat against the Punjab kings. This is the tenth loss of RR in the IPL 2025 season, where it was placed in the ninth place on the points schedule. Drafid highlighted the issues in all departments, with a focus that the team’s performance did not meet the expectations. Despite a promising start for this season, including the match between the young Vaibhav Suryavanshi, RR has struggled to maintain consistency, especially in bowling death and medium -class beating.
After losing the RR 8-WICITE in front of the Punjab kings, Dravid admitted the shortcomings of the team, saying: “There is no benefit to blame the striker.
He added: “If we look at the numbers, we may not be good enough with the ball. Even when taking the share and controlling the corridors. We are chasing 200-220 each game.”
He pointed out that the waiver of additional runs was a frequent problem, which makes it difficult for the multiplication unit to chase high aspirations. Dravid also indicated that the team often found itself in good locations but failed to benefit, especially in the lower average ranking, as there were large shots.
“It was difficult. We are close to that, but we were unable to finish the task. It was one of the seasons that you always feel with the ball that we might give 15-20 runs, then I had really got some good situations to win games, but we could not finish the task and some a little about this minimum arrangement, we will not only be able to accept and need to be paranted.”
Bowling was death in RR a great concern throughout the season. In matches against Gujarat and Delhi, the team received more than 70 races in the last five matches, highlighting the need for better implementation in the final stages of the game. Dravid stressed that although the plans were sound, the implementation has decreased, which led to unfavorable results.
The team’s performance has caused criticism from the cricket greats, including Sonel Javaskar, who was confused about RR’s lack of strategic play, especially under the supervision of DRAVID. Javaskar noticed, “With a person like Rahul Darvid as a coach, it was very confusing, and he was unrighteous cricket.” He asked about making decisions and approaching during the decisive moments, indicating a deeper defect in its strategy.
Despite the team’s struggles, the young player Vaibhav Suryavanshi was a bright point. The 14 -year -old occupied the headlines with a century 35 ball against Googa’s mighty, which shows his tremendous potential. However, he also faced relapses, including a duck of cartons against Mumbai Indians, which confirms its highest levels and lowest levels in the professional cricket game. Dravid urged realistic expectations regarding the performance of Suryavanshi, focusing on the importance of supporting young talents through successes and challenges.
Dravid said after the match: “I mean, it was five games now as the margins really contain one or two that you need at that point, which we could not do,” Dravid said after the match. “Therefore, it is not that we lose a lot of share, we are still only five to the bottom of the day, but we were unable to reach these shots.”
With the RR ready for their final match against Chennai Super Kings, the focus turns into saving pride and avoiding the bottom spot on the table. Dravid leadership and experience will be decisive in directing the team during this difficult period. The results of the season highlight the need for meditation and strategic amendments to build a more flexible and consistent team in future campaigns.
