How free tickets for IPL matches at UpPal stadium have joined a great controversy

Hyderabad: On Wednesday, the Tilanga Vigracted and Enforcement Department recorded data of office holders at the Hyderabad Association of Cricket (HCA) and Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) after allegations that the IPL tickets were offended and sold at a higher price.

This was one of the many allegations that appeared during an investigation into the alleged corruption at the Hyderabad Association of Cricket.

Amid the IPL matches, TVED visited the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium at UpPal on April 2 and recorded the data of HCA and Sunrisers Hyderabad data.

This comes after the Prime Minister of Telangana A Revanth Reddy ordered an investigation into the alleged corruption of HCA.

UpPal stadium can include 39,000 spectators. Besides, it has 59 companies fund. According to the agreement between HCA and SRH, out of 39,000 matching tickets, 10 percent (3900) must be given to HCA as free.

However, complaints have appeared that these free tickets either hinder HCA or put them on retail. Speaking to newsmeter, these allegations of HCA Jagan Mohan Rao refuted these allegations. The office said that every ticket distribution is recorded. They said over the years, the number of free tickets has decreased.

What created an uproar is the allegations that cricket fans are unable to book tickets online as the website shows “sale”. The officials said that all 35,000 tickets are under SRH preview, not HCA.

The storage question that has been provided is free tickets. Speaking to Newsmeter, a member of HCA, who preferred not to be identified, said: “Players are not provided in the state. This will encourage them to have a practical experience in the match. The club members are given only 12 passes for each club.”

What are the allegations?

All clubs are allocated to HCA 12 tickets, including office holders. However, tickets are corporate boxes from F7 to F16, especially and distributing them. Among the beneficiaries are families, friends and relatives. In some cases, it is marketed at exorbitant prices.

These tickets must be distributed among the stakeholders in the association.

The President’s Fund has been created to accommodate officials and the dignitaries with whom the association interacts throughout the year.

The practice of preparing belonging cards is essential to facilitate those who provide services. As a gesture of goodwill, during some matches, the services of the club’s trustees were used for free. However, this was offended to facilitate the entry of Kith and Kin. In some cases, affiliation cards facilitate the movement of members with all areas of access to all areas of the stadium headquarters, which is not a good practice.

Food has been provided to the chosen people who have interests with office holders at the association. On the first floor, corporate boxes control offices, and they ask for ITC food. These boxes are generally dedicated to CM and the president only.

First degree cricket players, former office holders and international players are qualified to obtain at least two tickets for their families. They completely ignored these tickets and besieged by offices. The president, the secretary, and the treasury alone are the turns of 400 to 500 tickets, regardless of the club’s tickets. It is a very unhealthy practice, and it must end.

How was the cover bombed?

On March 30, two pioneering newspapers in Telangana reported that SRH reconsiders hosting IPL matches in Hyderabad after blackmailing additional free tickets from HCA. An email sent by SRH to HCA, which was leaked to the media, said that the SRH administration claimed that HCA, led by President Jagan Mohan Rao, was asking for additional free passes in addition to the current 10 percent.

For several years, HCA has been granted 50 free tickets (F12A Square) as part of 3900 free tickets. However, they claim this year that the box has only 30 capacity and requests an additional 20 tickets for another square. In this regard, the F-3 box was closed during the last match on March 27.

On the same day, HCA explained that its president, A Jagan Mohan Rao, did not submit any personal request to prevent 3900 tickets for Sunrisers Hyderabad during the IPL Premier League at the Rajiv GandHi International Cricket, Uppal.

With a serious note of the allegations directed against (HCA), according to what was reported CM Revanth RedDy in a vigilance and ordered the vigilance DG Kothakota Srinivas Reddy to completely investigate the case. He also explained that strict action should be taken if any HCA employee is found to pressure the SRH management on free passes.

On April 2, he visited the awakening team the stadium and recorded the data of the office holders.
