IPL-2025: Chennai Super Kings are contacting the Ayush Mhatre teenage match for mid-season trials

In the development of speculation that it can be included by the Chennai Super Kings at the last minute in favor of the IPL-2015, the opening match of Ayush Mhatre was called in Mumbai on Thursday by the concession to trial in the middle of the season in Chepau in Chennai. Mhatre, who was not sold at the IPL auction last November in Jeddah, can only come in CSK as an alternative player in the event of any injury/lack of a player.
Mhatre, who descended from Ferrar, went to Chennai from Rajkot, where he is currently in the BCCI National Cricket Academy camp for less than 19 years. “Yes, we have contacted him for experiences. The scouts liked our talents,” said Cassi Veswanathan, CEO of CSK. When asked if there were any injuries in the CSK camp, he said: “No, if there is anything, we will do that. We do not choose anyone, it’s just an experience.”
CSK from Mhatre asked to report trials in November last year, before the IPL auction.
The promising young man enjoyed a season for the first time in Mumbai in 2024-25, where he scored 458 running in seven matches@65.42, with two hundred and fifty in Vigay Hazari Cup, and 471 running in eight matches@33.64 with two of the five century, with a degree higher than 176 against Maharasta in MCA in MCA.
It seems that the teenager man has impressed the senior management of CSK and the scout of talents in the concession. With one victory and two defeats in three games, CSK suffers seventh place at the IPL table.
