The IPL privileges (IPL) has been handed over a huge batch where South Africa announced that it would reduce the preparation time before the World Championship Test Championship (WTC) against Australia. While the SA authorities said first that all the players need to return to their home by May 26, they changed their statement and said that the game training will now be held as of June 3. The decision means that Kagiso Rabada, Aiden Markram, Lungi Ngidi, Marco Jansen and Tristan Stubbs, among other things, will be able to participate in the IPL 2025. The tournament will resume on May 17 after being suspended for a week due to the high border tensions between India and Pakistan.
South Africa was scheduled to play the warm -up match against Zimbabwe on June 3 as the preparation of the WTC final, but this decision can also cancel or review the match.
According to the initial agreement, BCCI was supposed to launch all external players on May 26. However, since the revised schedule for each, the periodic stage in the campaign will not end before May 27, while the final will be on June 3.
“One of the things we have explained, and we summarize it with IPL and BCCI, is that we are committed to our original plan when it comes to WTC’s preparations while being the latest for the test men to return.”
