The IPL match is scheduled to be transferred between Mumbai Indians and Punjab kings to be held on Sunday in Darmachala to Mumbai after traveling plans for teams closed the temporary Hill Town Airport. Dharamsala Airport for Operations has been closed indefinitely as a precautionary measure after missile strikes in India in Pakistan to dismantle the terrorist infrastructure in the wake of Paalgam’s terrorist attack. A source told BCCI to PTI: “There is a high possibility that the match will be transferred to Mumbai in the event that the airport is not closed.”
Dharamsala Clash Punjab Kings Vs Delhi Capitals will host this game, and that the game will go as it is scheduled given that both teams have touched the rule.
“We did not get any written hint from BCCI, or the central governments and states about canceling tomorrow’s match. Unless there are any official instructions, we are advancing in the table,” the source of the Cricket Association in Himachal Pradesh told PTI.
The scenic city is the second home base of Punjab kings.
“We have not been told about changing the place yet. We are waiting to hear from BCCI,” a Punjab official said.
Delhi has a little time to know logistical services, as players have to return to the national capital for their upcoming match, against Gujabra, which is also Sunday. They can return by road after the match.
“Everything is fluid at the moment. Discussions are run with privileges and they are also discussing internally about travel options from Dharamsala to Delhi if the airport remains closed,” BcCi source told PTI.
He added: “One of the options (for Delhi Capitals) is still a busy trip, but then not only about the difference but also the broadcast crew and equipment. It is an advanced situation.”
India carried out accurate strikes in nine sites in Pakistan and Pakistan, which occupied Jammu and Kashmir in response to the terrorist attack in Paalgam, in which 26 people were killed, most of them tourists.
At least 18 airports in the northern and western parts of the country were temporarily closed due to military escalation. These include Srinagar, Leh, Jammu, Amritsar, Pathankot, Chandigarh, Jodhpur, Jaisalmer, Shimla, Dharamshala and Jamnagar.
